Compounders of rubber for the roller cover industry.
Operating from laboratory, work comprising of full range of technical duties. Including hands-on troubleshooting, customer/supplier liaison, responsibility for three technicians.

Wide variety of high technology rubber compounds encountered, plus direct contact with selection of modern testing equipment for both quality control and development work.

Rubber parts manufacturing for Automotive trade.
Involving materials development (compounding theory and hands-on);
Attended 8 day Rubber Compounding course at Bayer, Germany.

Project work included testing and report writing. Also extensive internal and customer liaison. Troubleshooting aimed at materials and processing problems; e.g. Scrap reduction work on fuel filler hose.
