11/1996 to Present	CURRENT COMPANY WITHHELD Technologist Compounders of rubber for the roller cover industry. Operating from laboratory, work comprising of full range of technical duties. Including hands-on troubleshooting, customer/supplier liaison, responsibility for three technicians. Wide variety of high technology rubber compounds encountered, plus direct contact with selection of modern testing equipment for both quality control and development work.

11/1994 to 10/1996	BTR SEALING SYSTEMS (UK) LTD, DUNSTABLE "Rubber Technologist" Rubber parts manufacturing for Automotive trade. Involving materials development (compounding theory and hands-on); Attended 8 day Rubber Compounding course at Bayer, Germany. Project work included testing and report writing. Also extensive internal and customer liaison. Troubleshooting aimed at materials and processing problems; e.g. Scrap reduction work on fuel filler hose.

10/1993 to 10/1994	DUNLOP SLAZENGER INTERNATIONAL LTD, SAFFRON WALDEN "Development Technologist" Within sports equipment R & D. Involved product design after training on AutoCAD R.12. Hands-on experience of racket manufacturing techniques gained from visit to Taiwan (compression moulding of carbon/glass fibre reinforced epoxy resin). Attended Composites Design course at Nottingham University. Also testing of product, report writing.

1992 to 1993	VARIOUS STOP GAP/ INDUSTRIAL PLACEMENT E.g. 1993: ALLIED COLLOIDS, BRADFORD; "MSc Placement Student" Trouble shooting within large-scale chemical production plant. 1992: CENTREPOINT DESIGN, BRADFORD; "Production controller" Organising of small workshop activities.

1991	RAPRA TECHNOLOGY LTD, SHREWSBURY "Plastics Technologist" Consultancy work in R & D, e.g. materials selection, failure analysis. Involved testing, report writing, client liaison.
